First time driving in Kazakhstan
Grew up in Almaty but moved to the States as a kid, finally heading back this summer for the first time in ages. Wanna road trip around and actually see the country properly not just sit at relatives' houses. How do I sort a reliable ride without getting ripped off?

Going through a platform that consolidates local fleets is your safest bet especially since you have been away for a while and might not know which neighborhood offices are legit and which ones will try to pull a fast one with hidden fees. Book online in advance and you lock in the rate plus get clear terms on mileage and insurance before you even land. To compare rental car in Kazakhstan options from different suppliers all in one spot you can check this site.

Carry some cash in tenge for fuel stops outside the cities, smaller petrol stations in remote areas sometimes have card terminals that only work with local banks and you will be stuck arguing with a pump that wont take your Visa.
